it's all too much
this song is stuck in my head. really tangled in there. blue meanies are a little creepy. for the song, >> to around 4 minutes
It's all to much
It's all to much
When I look into your eyes, your love is there for me
And the more I go inside, the more there is to see
It's all too much for me to take
The love that's shining all around you
Everywhere, it's what you make
For us to take, it's all too much
Floating down the stream of time, of life to life with me
Makes no difference where you are or where you'd like to be
It's all too much for me to take
The love that's shining all around here
All the world is birthday cake,
So take a piece but not too much
Sail me on a silver sun, for I know that I'm free
Show me that I'm everywhere, and get me home for tea
It's all to much for me to see
A love that's shining all around here
The more I am, the less I know
And what I do is all too much
It's all too much for me to take
The love that's shining all around you
Everywhere, it's what you make
For us to take, it's all too much
It's too much.....It's too much
with your long blonde hair and your eyes of blue
you're too much

behold the heavenly stuffed pasta goodness:
I made gluten-free ravioli from scratch! successfully! I didn't think it could ever come out right after being discouraged before but this recipe is amazing! it's genius even! stuffed pasta was the biggest casualty of being gluten-free. I have ordered them at Da Luciano and they were so good so I knew I could do it. I just had to get bored and patient enough to try it. it really is so easy to make them. I may even ask for a pasta roller attachment for my Kitchen Aid or ravioli maker for Christmas! I have to do my research and find the best brand. does anyone have any advice on this?
I'm going to try making other pasta from scratch too. maybe even tortellini? I'm feeling super ambitious!

running out of adjectives
The Swell Season created magic last night. They were so full of joy and energy. They were so endearing and charming. Glen told great stories just like any good Irishman. I never wanted it to end. The concert was absolutely extraordinary!

i know why
a free bird leaps on the back of the wind
and floats downstream till the current ends
and dips his wing in the orange suns rays and dares to claim the sky.
but a bird that stalks down his narrow cage
can seldom see through his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing.
the caged bird sings with a fearful trill
of things unknown but longed for still
and his tune is heard on the distant hill
for the caged bird sings of freedom.

I watched this movie last night
Isn't it funny when things become relevant to people at the same time? You'll be talking about something and someone will say, "I was just talking/thinking/listening to/watching that the other day!"
anyway, found these "A Little Princess" screen shots from The Unicorn Diaries
g'day ♥

Betty Crocker Gluten-Free!
http://www.bettycrocker.com/products/gluten-free
I'm so excited about this. I don't even buy gluten-free cake mix. I'm a make from scratch kind of girl. BUT I bought this to make my birthday cake (have to make my own birthday cake wah wah) and it was so moist and delicious. Seriously! I think the reason it excites me so much is because of the brand. I never thought that mainstream baking brands would have products like this...for me!
They have a few different mixes but I bought the yellow cake. They are kind of expensive for me. $5 a pop is the going price. If you're in a hurry they would be ideal.
I have two cabinets full of gf flours and baking agents so it's hard for me to buy mixes and pre-mades. I LOVE baking gf from scratch! It's kind of like playing in a science lab when you bake gluten-free. After all it is very scientific. I like getting little bags down from the designated GF cabinet and measuring. It's fun to do it yourself. Plus you can control the quality of ingredients and the outcome.

tiny things
I got the smallest envelope in the mail today from anthro.
So, I thought, this has to be good.
And I opened it.
And I opened it a little more.
I went to North Carolina a few months ago to see my wonderful amazing best friend. My Katie Love made me this gorgeous box. We have a long standing tradition of making boxes for each other. We've been doing this since high school but this one is by far my favorite. I love it. and Katie.
Last week I spied the "big hair affair" on LUSH's website and I had to know if they sold it in stores (I didn't want it to melt...) so I rang up Marissa, self professed LUSH queen (she works there) and asked if I could pick one up. Well, I got one and it is jam packed of sample sizes. I am such a sucker for the sample size of anything. *sigh* they are so cute and tiny! Oh, and I am now addicted to Big Volumizing Shampoo. It makes my hair thick! Who knew such a product existed?
I am off to the library and Michael's to get supplies to make someone a surprise ;)
thank you Marissa and Katie, my two loves

G Free Diet by, Elizabeth Hasselbeck
Elizabeth Hasselbeck and I have our differences but I put those aside when I read this book because finally there is a celebrity that can perhaps create more awareness about Celiac Disease. After all, there is an estimate of 1 out of 133 in America with CD. More awareness also means more attention to the needs of people with CD. Everyday there are more and more wonderful new brands of delicious G Free foods being stocked in our supermarkets and health food stores. Everyday there are also more and more restaurants that are helping out people like me by making it easier to go out to eat and not have to worry about the consequences.
This book is very helpful. If you are living with CD or you think you may have it or if you just want to understand what it is, read this book. Elizabeth Hasselbeck does a good job of doing her research but even though the book is wham bam full of information, it still reads like a memoir or a nice conversation with a friend.

GF dinner adventures
Last night I had cotton candy for dinner. Oh yeah! anyway, I've been making dinner a lot with help from Mr. Doug (except for last night's little indulgence). We've been making some super yummy food. Later I will post some pictures of our dinner adventures and maybe even some recipes. Just wanted to share some of the dinners we've had:
Baked Salmon with Basil Butter
GF Meatloaf smothered in Tomato Gravy and Red Mashed Potatoes with bacon
Tomato Parmesan Pasta with Grilled Chicken
Chicken and White Bean Chili
Salmon Salad with Romaine, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumbers, GF Croutons, and Northern Italian Dressing and Olive Oil. (used ^ leftover Salmon)
Pulled Pork Sandwiches
