meetup

I went to the Chicagoland Craft Collective meetup tonight. It was great just like last time. But this time I got to stay and talk and meet people. We didn't get to make ribbon flowers but we did get to make an origami strawberry and the cutest little paper boxes. I had a lot of fun and can not wait to go back! Everyone is so nice [and SUPER talented].

I will take a picture of the crafts tomorrow. I have to make myself go to bed.


ps: I found out about this great place called, Mitsuwa that is not far from here. I am going there as soon as I can with a fistful of dollars. It's Japanese mini-mall. YES!

Look what Veronica sent me!!!
I have been looking for these books forever! I got a package today and it was full of these books!! They were my favorite when I was little! I learned to read with these books! I just love that girl! I love all my Etsy friends!

I am so excited! For right now they will sit on my bookshelf, I'm thinking of collecting them...hmm....

little shopping girl

My mom used to call me the little shoppong girl when I was about 4 years old because I loved shopping with my gramma. I went shopping today and bought the most wonderful Frida Kahlo book called, "I Will Never Forget You." It's a book of photographs taken by her dear photographer friend, Nickolas Muray. I have wanted this book for a long long time.



I bought some Hello Kitty paper dolls and I love the grandpa doll because it has a pipe and a cane. So cute! I love them! I don't know what I'm going to do with them but they would look cute set up on a book shelf.
I also bought Hello Kitty cookie cutters which I plan on using A LOT!!
AND last, I got a package that came all the way from Greece! Joanna (Greekfantasy from Etsy) and I did a swap--she wanted some buttons and she sent me some delicious homemade candy!! They are called Jollipops and they are yummy and adorable!

I recieved from petite tricoteuse for the Felt Mascot round3 foods swap. She made me the most adorable cake with pink frosting with strawberries and whipped cream. The cutest part? The slices have smiling faces!! SO CUTE! She also made me an amigurumi tea cup with a little tiny (have I ever said how much I love tiny things?) cookie. I love recieving from petite she makes the cutest amigurumi! I adore everything she makes!

I bought the new Giada Delaurentis cookbook too. I tested a few things like the zucchini spears. Yum yum!

it's been a long time

I haven't posted anything here in a long time. I feel like I've been all over the world. I went on 2 trips in the last month and haven't had time to post. I do now though!! I recieved a beautiful package from Veronica for the April Affair (IYOP swap). Here is what she sent:






she bought me the print from jenoaks on etsy- isn't it lovely?? I think it looks like me. I love everything! I have been wearing the bag everywhere and I love the earrings and the bunny teeth candy. I just love her!!
